Exercises to help you improve your samba hips - Part 1

In this video I cover different exercises you can do to strengthen your calves, ankles, knees and work your hips to improve your samba.

This is what we’ll cover in the video

Calves and Ankles

  • Calf raises

  • Calf raise holds

  • Calf raise to knee bend (8 counts) x4

  • Supported balancing knee bend and unsupported - hold for 3 secs

Hips and twist

  • Wine/rebolados - in both directions

  • Side to side hips

  • Hip twist away from the wall

  • Hip twist with back leg

  • Side to side x4, Twist with back steps x4

There is a part 2, where you can practice everything in part 1 but to music, and less explanation.
